UNIT 9. Brainstorm great inventions of last 100 years

Make a list of what do you think has been the five best inventions in the last 100 years?

Use Padlet.com, Work with a partner.

For each invention, brainstorm….. 

What are one or two positive effects the invention has had on society?

What are one or two negative effects the invention has had on society?

Also, get a picture of the invention.

Example brainstorm:

The Smoke Detector 

Good: It has saved lives by warning people about fire in the home.

Good: It has saved property because people can put out fire before it gets big.

Bad: When the batteries are low it can beep false alarms 

Bad: If something burns while cooking, the alarm can be crazy and overreact.

Write a short paragraph of two or three sentences about the invention’s good and the bad aspects and put it on padlet.
